" Paros is the third largest island of the Cyclades, after Naxos and Syros, with an area of 186 square kilometres and a coastline of 120 kilometres long.

Paros is located in the heart of the Cyclades and its neighbouring islands are Naxos, Ios, Sifnos and Syros.
Paros is 90 nautical miles away from the harbour of Piraeus and halfway between Athens and Santorini.

Third in popularity after Syros and Santorini, Paros is considered to be one of the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades with the most exquisite beaches. That is why it is considered as a top vacation destination.

It is a typical Cycladic island with traditional little villages full of whitewashed cubic houses with blue doors and windows, narrow streets, flowered balconies and squares, beautiful churches, lovely chapels, monasteries, a hilly countryside with endless vineyards and rare wildlife.

Parikia is the capital of the island as well as the island's main harbour, from where regular ferries, high-speed catamarans and Flying Dolphins serve most of the other Greek islands.

The lovely town of Parikia is located in one of the two bays of Paros, the second one being Naoussa, a picturesque village with a tiny, lovely harbour. Naoussa is the perfect holiday location.

Both bays are protected from the north winds called Meltemi.

The beaches in Paros are real paradises wild, secluded or fully organized. They satisfy the needs of every visitor.

All the organized beaches of Paros offer many waters sports facilities and competitions. The Windsurfing World Cup takes place every year on the Golden Beach and the Kiteboarding World Cup is held on Pounta beach. Apart from summer sports, on Paros you will have the chance to experience other hobbies, such as trekking, birdwatching and yoga.

In a few words, Paros is a wonderful island ideal for every kind of holidays, from peaceful and active ones to exciting and partying."
