Porto Restaurants & Cafes
Porto Restaurants & Cafes
The Portuguese from other parts of Portugal will say that you'll eat well in Oporto. By that they mean large portions and authentic cuisine, and the city does have what is often recognized as one of the country's best restaurants, "Bull & Bear".
When anyone in the city thinks about eating out, Ribeira is the natural destination that comes to mind. Its "Dom Tonho" is one of the city's most famous restaurants, which also has a second home across the river in Cais de Gaia, where there is also a wide range of international choices.
Two of the most talked about restaurants in the city are "Shis" and "D'Oliva" -- the first one offering an international cuisine on the waterfront, and the other an Italian menu.
But if you're simply looking for coffee or a refreshing drink, there are also several good choices for that -- in fact, "Cafe Majestic" is a stop you shouldn't miss when in Oporto.
