Quinta do Rio

Quinta do Rio is a luxurious 7 bedroom villa located approximately 2 miles from the beach and next to Vila Nova de Mil Fontes a village where you can find all you need.

It is beautifully furnished with an emphasis on color and comfort. It accommodates a maximum of 10 people in five bedrooms in the main house, and six more people in two rooms in a separate cottage next door. The staff includes a gardener and daily cleaning service.

Entering this property by its beautiful front door you are immediately absorbed by the atmosphere of refinement and good taste! The house is built around an enclosed courtyard. The property was designed by its owner and is full of details that give it character and a unique soul. The whole floor of the house is covered with stone slabs except the bedrooms where it is made of wood, for comfort and cosiness.

The house has several outdoor leisure areas, which allow enjoyment of the surroundings. You can choose to dine outside or just chat and relax having a drink at sunset.
The front door opens onto a wide corridor decorated with a large wooden trunk, giving access to both wings of the house. To the right is the living area with lounge, dining rooms and kitchen, and to the left the more private area of the house where the 5 bedrooms are. The interiors have been carefully decorated to complement the space and feel of the rooms.

Much of the social wing at The Quinta do Rio is designed around a spacious vaulted living room.
The room is very well lit and has retained its homely character. In the summer it's the perfect escape from the heat of the sun. The thick walls allow this room to remain refreshingly cool all summer.
For those of you who love to cook, The Quinta do Rio's fully equipped kitchen is sure to please! Along with the stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, many well chosen details have been added to this room. There are walnut cabinets, a stone sink, and a huge barbecue. The kitchen opens onto the well decorated dining room, the perfect place to share a meal with family or friends.

The first bedroom is a suite with a double bed. The full bathroom has a tub with shower, sink and toilet. The second bedroom also has a double bed or the possibility of having a child in another single bed. The suite and this room are luxurious and handsomely furnished each one with its own decorative scheme designed for a couple. The other rooms have similar amenities although those two are exceptionally spacious. Two of the 3 other bedrooms also have a double bed and the last is equipped with twin beds, all rooms sharing two large bathroom.

The outdoor living spaces take full advantage of the views and include a terrace with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. Near the pool are two hammocks ideal for afternoon reading sessions or just for a nap.
There is also a private cottage with a kitchenette, two bedrooms with 4 beds each (bunk-bed) and full bath with 3 showers. This cottage has its own private access. This is perfect for a large family gathering in which one couple would prefer to be away from the main group or for children, as the living is equipped with TV and Playstation!

Close to the cottage is an independent room that could be used as a recreation room, equipped with table tennis. For little children there is also a dolls house.

With the rental of the main house there aren´t charges for the addition of the cottage. The main house also has one of the most beautiful pools we have ever seen, complete with pool chairs and parasols and breathtaking views for swimming enthusiasts! Within the main house guests will enjoy a unique, spacious living room and dining room with seating for all. The owners also offer extra services which can be arranged in advance, including maid service.
