Quinta da Achada is a modern, spectacular house, built entirely from scratch in the heart of the Serra da Arrábida Natural Park, with views of one of the most beautiful mountains in Portugal.
Near Azeitão, this eight hectare property is immaculate, light and airy, and superbly decorated with modern,beautiful furnishings throughout. All the rooms look onto the terrace, pool and mountain through large glass windows. The house itself retains its farmhouse charm by incorporating many traditional Portuguese elements such as slate tile floors, and open wooden ceilings.
The villa is surrounded by a delightfully landscaped garden, cared for by a gardener/care taker who sleeps in a nearby house. The outdoor living spaces, all nicely arranged, complement the view and include a terrace with a table and chairs for al fresco dining, and a swimming pool with lounge chairs and deck furniture. Near the pool are three hammocks ideal for afternoon reading sessions or just for a nap.
Quinta da Achada is comfortably set on just one floor. Outside the villa, with the idyllic view of “Serra da Arrábida” beyond, is a terrace furnished with a table and chairs that seat up to ten people for outdoor dining. The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your cooking needs including a stove, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Adjacent to the kitchen are a sunny single room with ensuite shower bathroom, and a small pantry (including a washing machine, dryer, iron, and ironing board) . From this area you can also access the fantastic open living room with a fireplace and an adjoining dining room with a table and chairs that seat up to eight people. Both of these rooms are sunny, bright, and stylishly furnished, with breathtaking views!
On the right of the entrance door at the bottom of the corridor is the amazing master bedroom with a king size bed, a TV, and an en suite bathroom with a big shower. Light radiates throughout the room and the feeling of well being is unique. The view is absolutely magnificent and you can literally say you have the mountains at your feet. The room opens onto a terrace where there are three hammocks.
Off the corridor there are two further bedrooms with twin beds, a complete bathroom with tub shared by both, and a guest bathroom near the entrance. All bathrooms are in are stone and marble, modern and very comfortable.

Arrábida area is at once green fields, mediteranean trees and wild vegetation defining hillside boundaries. However the word Azeitão conjures up not only alluring vistas, and food prepared with straight-from-the-garden ingredients, but also delicious wines, fabulous typical sweets and home made cheeses. In addition to the incomparable wine Cellars and the rolling hills of the countryside, Arrábida also boasts 20 miles of coastline. From the resort of the Tróia peninsula, to other destinations such as Sesimbra, and the beautiful Caparica beaches, or even Lisbon, Cascais, and beyond there is truly much to be explored.
From Quinta da Achada, there are a variety of trips and attractions to enjoy. In Setubal, only fifteen kms away, you will find fabulous fish restaurants, a daily market, traditional fairs, and squares vibrant with life. In Sesimbra six miles away, you’ll find a characteristic fishing village, typical architecture, historic landmarks, cultural and artistic entertainments. At a distance of twenty five miles is Lisbon, which will astound you with its historic and cultural sites. If you are interested in beaches, in Setubal you can take a car ferry across the Sado river, to the Tróia peninsula or just drive along the Arrábida coastline where you can find several beaches.
There is a cottage with 2 more twin bedrooms (one of the rooms has 2 beds), a small living room, a kitchenette and a wc, to sleep a maximum of 6. The cottage has an extra cost of €100,00 for the first night and €20,00 per person, each extra night for up to 5 people.
