This apartment is part of a building on the walls of D. Fernando, near the banks of the Tagus river and near the old tobacco market hence the name Jardim do Tabaco".
Completely refurbished in 2010, this house offers comfort and modernity, while preserving the features of the old building. Located in the typical medieval neighbourhood of Alfama, near the Museum of Fado, only a few minutes’ walk from the "Praça do Comércio" (Trade Square) and the Pombaline downtown, the Castle of St. George and the “Casa dos Bicos”.
The area is well served by all kinds of public transport: metro, the typical Lisbon tram (Line 28) and buses. It can be a great starting point to get to know the Tejo River, south of the capital to the sea, or you can explore the famous, lively “Docas” (Docks, a nightlife centre).
The apartment comprises a bright lounge, where you’ll find an LCD monitor with cable TV and all your audio visual equipment, DVDs and CDs. In the living room there is also a sofa bed which comfortably accommodates two people. The 40 m2 dining room has been carefully decorated to accommodate all guests. The charming kitchen keeps its original chimney with exposed bricks, and allows you to enjoy all the modern equipment needed to cook your meals.
The bedrooms are extraordinarily spacious, with two twin beds, that may be converted into double beds on request (1,2 x 60,00 or 1,80 X 2,00). This apartment has three bathrooms, ideally positioned for all the bedrooms.
Only a few meters away from this house, you’ll find a wide range of traditional restaurants and famous taverns with terraces, at the corner of the streets. In the Docas do Jardim do Tabaco (Tobacco Garden Docks), you may choose from seafood, fresh fish, typical dishes or renowned pizza. There are also a gourmet grocery, traditional grocery stores, craft shops and small antique shops that invite you browse your way through medieval Alfama, where the inhabitants still speak across the street from window to window.

For a fully paid reservation, there is a cancellation charge that depending on the number of days before the beginning of the rental period:
- More than 90 days before: 20% of the total amount;
- 60-89 days before: 30% of the total amount;
- 30-59 days before: 50% of the total amount;
- Less than 30 days before: 100% of the total amount;
