Between the river and the extraordinary views over the green vineyards, you’ll find yourself surrounded by an unusual, sublime landscape. The villas present a perfect fusion of the traditional and the contemporary, in a 19th century manor house, with cutting edge interior design.
The contemporarily designed Douro Villas (Casas do Douro) are located on the south bank of the Douro river overlooking the river itself, whilst the Vineyard Villas (Casas da Vinha) are surrounded by vineyards and offer a more traditional design.
The villas vary in size from 138 sqm to 290 sqm (internal space plus terraces, excluding gardens) and are designed over one, two or three floors, with one, two or three bedrooms.
The villa residences have been designed by well known Portuguese architect and interior designer, Giano Gonçalves. Whilst the Douro Villas have a slightly more modern feel, the Vineyard Villas take their inspiration from the regional heritage, incorporating local animal skins, woods and wine-making paraphernalia.
